Teaching on Dzogchen Kalachakra and meaning of mantra by H.H.Khenchen Lama Rinpoche

Dzogchen Kalachakra

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening everybody. Tashi Delek!

Today is a very auspicious day. On this full moon, it is the celebration of Amitabha Buddha meditation recitation; taking the Eight Mahayana Precepts and Kalachakra Day.

This means it is the anniversary of when Buddha Shakyamuni gave the first Kalachakra teaching in this world. And it is the anniversary of when the great Treasure Master Padma Dragngag Lingpa found the first Dzogchen Kalachakra mind Treasure.

Today in the Hinayana Tradition, it is Arhat Day, the celebration of Buddha’s birthday and enlightenment. This is a very auspicious day because it is the anniversary of these three special days.

Therefore, do meditation practice; visualization; mantra, and dedication. These are very powerful today. Usually when we do one mantra it means the virtue of one time. Today is different. Today it means every mantra is good virtue multiplied by a billion.

Especially Kalachakra, this is the special day in the year when it is celebrated. This is the reason I give outer transmission, blessing and teaching today.

Usually, on internet teachings, you can do outer transmission and blessing. We can’t do empowerments online. But if you have very good devotion, and very great respect, then have a great blessing empowerment.

Today I will show you Kalachakra’s statute and mantra. Also, do meditation together. This means our body, speech and mind are one with Dzogchen Kalachakra. We our self are doing meditation. No judgement, no boss. Our mind is boss. And judgement.

At this time, we have more visualization. It is most important that 100 % of yourself, your body, speech and mind, are with Dzogchen Kalachakra.

Blessing other sentient beings to have the enlightenment of Dzogchen Kalachakra. When you recite the mantra, think of the meaning of the mantra. Blessing yourself and others, to have enlightenment.

Dzogchen Kalachakra has many texts. Today from a special text, I will give outer transmission.

First Padma Dragngag Lingpa’s short sadhana. Secondly, for H.H. Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche’s Kalachakra’s tantra. And third from the great Treasure master, Terchen Kunzang Nyima Rinpoche. These three altogether mean very shortly, can have primordial enlightenment this Great Perfection deity, kadag and lhungrub. Kadag is primordial purity and lhungrub, is spontaneous presence.

Kalachakra is blue color. He holds a vajra in his right hand and a bell in his left hand. He is in union with his consort, a dakini who is a golden color. We have blissful feelings our self and the bliss of Buddha wisdom nature while doing the mantra continuously.

The mantra is Om Ah Hung Hri Ha Cha Ma La Wa Ra Yang Soha.

The meaning is as follows:

Om Ah Hung Hri means the body, speech and mind activity of Kalachakra. Ha is wisdom Kalachakra. Cha is our body, speech and mind. Ma is the great Mount Meru. La is mother earth. Wa is water; Ra is fire, and Yang is wind. Soha is the union of Awam liberation.

Also, nadha sound is symbolized by the sun and moon in thankas. These symbolize the union of Awam, compassion and wisdom. Nadha is primordial sound.

This mantra of Dzogchen Kalachakra has many outer, inner, and secret meanings. Today we will only do this mantra with mudra. The mantra and mudra helps our energy, channels, and mental health. The more meditation we do, the more we are healthy and more confident of our mind.

Dzogchen Kalachakra has 12 yoga exercises. But today we try only mudra and mantra. All the best to you all.

Inner Dzogchen Kalachakra,
