THREE KAYAS MEDITATION

Today is an auspicious day; a full moon and Amitabha’s Day. I am finished my meditation retreat. Today I’m teaching all of my friends and students because some ask me about the Three Kayas meditation and it being important for the Padling New Treasures.

First is Dharmakaya meditation. It is recognizing nature of your mind. Then you can do Dharmakaya meditation. But not everyone is able to do this because beginning people, people just starting, some people are doing Sutra meditation, or Tantra first classes, Mahayoga, or Anuyoga. Dharmakaya meditation is Dzogchen meditation. And, we can do Dharmakaya visualization meditation. It is very important for people who are beginning and anyone wanting Enlightenment. Everyone can do this. It is easy to do this meditation of Dharmakaya.

You begin by visualizing Amitabha. Then think of Amitabha. Do the Seven Limb Prayer offering to Amitabha. Do this with Bodhicitta and dedicate for all sentient beings reaching the great Dharmakaya. These are the causes of Dharmakaya Amitabha meditation.
And then you pray and do mantra. Then when you do the Four Activities of going, sitting, eating, and sleeping, don’t forget the Dharmakaya of Amitabha.

This is a short teaching of the Padling Terser of Dharmakaya.

Then as you do this more and more, you will understand the nature of Dharmakaya of Amitabha. Because of your devotion, faith, and you believe 100%, then you are very close to Dharmakaya Amitabha meditation.

Then is Sambhogakaya meditation. In Dzogchen, Sambhogakaya meditation is luministic meditation of our mind. Usually Sambhogakaya is all Buddhas’ Sambhogakaya realms. For example, the Five Buddha Families, and the four directions of north, east, south and west visualization.
Here, Sambhogakaya is Luminosity of Avalokiteshavra meditation. It is the Great Compassion Buddha of meditation of our mind. This means great Bodhicitta meditation. This means great compassion for all sentient beings and wisdom of all sentient beings’ enlightenment. That is nature of luminosity mind or great compassion mind meditation.

Sambhogakaya is pure mind. Talk to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Understand that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are the same level as our mind. But everyone sometimes finds it difficult to do luminosity meditation. Especially when people first begin and different people aren’t there yet. But you can do visualization of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshavra. He is white in color, four arms and dressed in the Sambhogakaya uniform. Do mantra of Avalokiteshvara and give love and kindness to other beings as you do the mantra. This means all Buddhas’ Compassion meditation. This is more Sambhogakaya Yidam Compassion Buddha.

Nirmanakaya is all Buddhas’ activity, benefiting the six realms, teaching, blessings and enlightenment activity. And all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas benefit others through the manifestation of bodies. What beings wish for, like a wish fulfilling gem, they give happiness, joy, peace and enlightenment.
The Six Realms have different manifestations of Buddhas. They show the Eight Consciousnesses, give blessings, and benefit others. This is Nirmanakaya, our activity.

But everyone doesn’t know which one is really their Nirmanakaya. If you don’t know, then you visualize Padmasambhava. The blessings you give is Guru Rinpoche’s peace, blessing our life and this is like a vast ocean. It is the union of body and wisdom. The suffering of all sentient beings, their karma, and energies change with wisdom blessings. Guru Rinpoche is past, present, and future of all Buddha manifestations.

Then you visualize Guru Rinpoche. Pray what you wish for and benefit other beings. Only Guru Rinpoche helps our body, speech and mind and in this lifetime. Then you take Refuge, do the Seven Line Prayer, and then do the mantra of Guru Rinpoche. Try purifying your outer, inner and secret obstacles. This is Guru Rinpoche’s Nirmanakaya visualization.
OM AH HUNG BENZER GURU PADMA SIDDHI HUNG

This means with our body, speech, and mind, we do meditation of the Three Kayas. Especially, now you know Dharmakaya, pure mind, and you know to benefit others’ body, speech and mind. This is the Three Kaya blessing yourself.

When people don’t know, then visualize Amitabha, Avalokiteshvara, and Guru Rinpoche. Do these meditations with the motivation that all sentient beings reach the Great Liberation of the Three Kayas.
